CoughDrop offers different account types and purchase options for use by different types of communicators and supporters. You can select the account type that best fits your needs. Learn more about available CoughDrop account types in our support article here.
Create a CoughDrop account
Before you can purchase your CoughDrop account, you must create an account within the system. You can do this by navigating to the CoughDrop web page and registering for a free trial account.

Access Purchase Options
Once you have created a CoughDrop account, you can purchase the account type that best fits your needs through the billing portion of the website.
Log into your CoughDrop account at mycoughdrop.com. Purchases can also be made through the iOS app, but purchasing is not available through the Android or Windows apps -- however, you can enter the website through the web browser of your device to make a purchase when needed.
Note: If you purchase your account through the iOS app for $250 the purchase price will include access to premium symbol sets and extra premium voices. There is not monthly payment option if you purchase through iOS.
Once you have logged into your account, open the drop down menu under your user icon in the top right corner and select "my account."
On your account page, hit "billing" from the menu on the left of the screen.
On the billing page, tap the button to "update my billing settings" and then select the account type you would like to purchase. You can also select the option to add the purchase of premium symbols or credits for supervisors if you purchase a communicator account.
You will also notice a link where you can reach out to us if you need bulk pricing or to use a purchase order.
Once you have selected the account options for your purchase, hit the "update" button at the bottom of the page. This will open a purchasing window where you can input your billing information and submit your purchase.
Your account purchase will automatically be applied to the username on which you were logged in when the purchase was made.
If you purchased one or more supporter credits as part of a communicator account purchase, you can allot those credits to supporters as you connect them to the communicator account as an approved supervisor.
Log into the communicator account and then open the supervisor tab at the top of your account page or from the side menu on your CoughDrop dashboard.
Click the button to add a new supervisor to this communicator's account. A window will open which will allow you to enter the username of the supervisor's account, determine whether that supervisor should have edit ability, and also give a supporter credit to that supervisor if needed.
Purchase a Gift Code
You can purchase a gift code which can later be applied to a communicator's account. This gift purchase is only available for a lifetime communicator account. When your purchase is completed, you will be given a gift code which can then be applied to any existing CoughDrop account (the account will need to be created before the gift code can be applied).
