CoughDrop optionally tracks all button presses when usera area in Speak Mode. This data is backed up to the cloud so that the communicator and any linked supervisors can review the logs remotely from their own devices. This makes it possible for support staff to see progress without taking the communicator's device away.
CoughDrop Logs and Messaging Video Tutorial
To access the logs for a user, visit their profile page. You can access your own profile page by hitting the profile icon in the top right corner and selecting "My Account".
On a user's profile page, select the "logs & messages" section to view the user's logs. Communicators can see their own reports, and all supervisors can see reports for users that they supervise. Remember, reports will only appear if the user has enabled reporting, and performs a sync while connected to the Internet at least once in a while (once a week is recommended).
The logs page shows a list of all recorded usage logs for the given user, broken up into sessions. Sessions are automatically created based on long breaks between button presses by the user. You can see a summary view of the session, or drill down to see the details of any logged session.
Session events include every button press and action recorded for the user. They specify word type for any buttons selected, and show any delay between button presses that is more than a second long. You can optionally hit the plus button on any event to record notes on that event to help clarify what was happening or make not of an important observation, and these notes will be kept with the log.
At the bottom of each list is some additional information about the session, including location (only if geolocation tracking has been enabled for the user), IP address, and a link to download a LAM file of the session's contents.
